Enter the DOMAIINS horror experience!

A game for 3-6 players who want to tell a Survival Horror story and try and get trough it.

Introduction

The game is made to get a group of 3-5 players, acting as the Characters, get trough 5 specific chapters called Dives. During these Dives, the characters will face an ever escalating odds and horrors, wrapping the narrative up during the Intermezzo between the Dives. At the end of the 5th Dive, the players will finish the story with a post Dive narration which serves as the Epilogue to the Character's Story.

System

The system itself is a roll under using a poll of four 6-sided dice. Instead of the classical mechanics, the system instead goes towards giving the players narrative prompts to directly change the Story. Shaping and moulding it to further tell the tale of horror to everyone at the table.

Safety Forestmost

The rules themselves incorporate Safety Tools and Session 0 as a way of creating a secure and laid back atmosphere in which the players can feel safe enough to tell an intimate story of horror, dread, and grief. It's intended that trough that bleed (direct transfer of emotions from character to player) occurs and that without the focus being on scaring the players, it is put on the story of the character.

Story and Domain

During the initial step of the game, all the Players involved will partake in the creation of the Domain (world where the horror story takes place) and discuss what kind of story they want to tell. All of this is presented mechanically during character creation later on.

Characters

Instead of special or especially competent character, the Characters in DOMAIINS are normal day to day sort. They will stumble and bumble trough the horror in the story. And that is okay. This is a story of their horror, their story of loss and dread. And it is all about that. The mechanics for characters represent that, and go hand in hand with it.

But not all is lost. Characters will grow trough the story and gain more options to try and push themselves more.
